trevor wilkes: bleepradio#211

This guy impresses for couple years already. His earlier DJ works I had we're straight techno and click style. Talking Trevor, we shall rather say bleep instead of click. This one below surprised me a bit. He's still deeply into techno, but now he also insters some retro 80s and 90s loops and that makes an amazing impact. Listen up and be carufull, it'll be grand!

beep master: technofunk

Here we welcome another mate on stage. Beep Master seem to be a very energizing DJ with his contemporary hard work. Although disco is the key to everything here, there also many other genres. It's hard to point what is the contemporary funk. In my oppinion there are now many funk influences in techno and minimal. It doesn't sound like it was 20 years ago, but what else could we expect. Ofcourse mainly funk went into hip-hop and breakbeat, but this is obvoius way. Funk in techno is more unique and subjective. Actually there are many influences in techno, but when you recognize something similar to 2-beat tempo then in general it may a funk influence. Listen up the masterpiece from Beep Master and listen to what i mean:

Time to disco! Honestly, what is disco? Some persons may have a negative feedback about this genre, but there's no worse thinking about. Dusco is the root of everything here. For some newbies - it began in 70's, it has a strong influence of black music, it continued well in 80's, but stopped as a good business and sound in that time. However it influenced all kinds of farther sounds and dancefloor lifestyle, starting from house, ending with techno (yes, I am serious about that). At the moment we are in 21st century and disco for me may be nearly everything, depending of how well will somebody choose some tracks in the mix. Therefore you have this set. More explanation will come on soon. And btw. M.F.S.B. is also a good disco band name. Check it out!
